Pavlova!

One of the best cakes I know! It doesn't stay for very long due to the popularity of it at home, but it sure is delicious!

So this is what you need:

Meringue
4 Egg whites
0,5 tsp Lemon juice
300 ml Castor sugar
2 tsp Maizena

Lemoncurd whip
500 ml Cream
1 tsp Vanilla extract
200 ml Lemon curd

Garnish
Fresh strawberries and finely hacked up white chocolate.

Put the oven on 180c. Whip the egg whites and lemon juice together to a foam. Add the castor sugar a little bit at a time and whip on high until the texture is smooth and glossy. Lastly add the maizena. Pour the mixture onto a baking paper. Try make it as circular as possible. Put in the meringue into the oven, and immediately lower the temperature to 150c. Leave it to bake and dry up properly until the surface cracks slightly. Should take about 75 min.

Whip the cream with the vanilla extract until it's nice and fluffy. Fold in the lemon curd without loosing too much of the air in the whipped cream.

I should also mention that it can be quite tricky to transfer the meringue from the baking paper, so rather flip in onto a plate and then peal off the paper instead. Don't worry, it doesn't matter if it breaks a little, it will all be covered by the whipped cream.

Garnish with the whipped cream, strawberries or whichever fruit or berries you prefer along with the hacked up chocolate.

Hi there! Haven't updated in since February. Wow. Talk about getting busy with too much work at varsity. A lot of stuff has happened along the way and now I'm just waiting to get my results back to see if I made it in to third year or not. I really hope I do.

Anyhow! I've got so much more time spare to do other things I haven't been able to do throughout the year, one of them being blogging. Also, I'm gonna pick up some personal art and design projects including picking up where I left off with my jewellery making as well.

I'll post all about it right here!

Moving!

Sooo it looks like we're moving on Monday! All of my stuff is already packed into boxes since at least a month. We're all super excited and ready to get out of the house we're staying in at the moment.

The new house will be larger, nicer and cleaner.. and most importantly - I won't be able to look up through the ceiling into the attic. This is a huge advantage, since I had to battle with a bat that came to visit our bedroom last week. Not so pleasant and yes - I screamed like a girl.

In the new house I'll have my first studio.It does sound luxurious, and believe me - it is, but it's also a necessity. Those of you who live with an artistic or creative person will know what I'm talking about. Having your own space while working is crucial. Doesn't matter how big or small the room/space is, but it needs to exist. That is if your partner/family wants to survive while you're in your creative process.

Also, with this new awesome house, me and Darren will have our own space. A huge room of 25 m2 with an en-suite and lots of cupboards. Oh and did I mention that the bathroom will have it's own corner tub as well? Well now you know! ;)

I really can't wait for this upgrade in life.. It truly is amazing. Also, this is the first time I'm actually moving in WITH someone instead of someone moving in to stay with me in my flat or I'm moving in to rent a room. This will be our home. Yaaaay..!! A home!

Back @ varsity

So. First week back. It was awesome seeing old friends again and the old facilities that I've now become to see as my second home. We've already been handed a couple of briefs, but luckily for us, they're only gonna wanting them in by mid March.. Which leaves me almost an entire month to prepare. The hassle is the quality of what they're expecting us to hand in. We got introduced to a new medium. Copic markers.

This year I really want to focus on my marks, so I better get started on my projects, making sure that what I eventually hand in is in excellent quality. Nothing below that.

This piece is around 65% done. I'll finish the rest tomorrow, to then hand it in the following day. Wish me luck!

Out and about!

Firstly, I would like to say: it's goddamn hot down here!! Everything is super sticky and only so often the wind is strong enough to cool you down slightly. Secondly: I'm not aloud to complain.. :P

Anyways. Not much has happened the last week or so. Went with Darren to Jbay to promote the juice that he's been selling for a while. At least it was a trip outside of town. Other than that, we're off to East London during this weekend to demonstrate and celebrate the Chinese new year with our awesome skills in Kung-Fu and Lion dancing. I get to smash cymbals and act the part of the lions butt. Haha.. Well I do think it'll be a lot of fun. Will be taking pics to show everyone as well.

I'm still waiting for my money from CSN, so at this stage I can't really do anything that costs money. Which sucks, but if I'm lucky it won't be longer than two weeks at the most. I've still got registration on the 11th and my classes starts on the 14th. So kinda need it til then.. Meh. Wish me luck.

Aaaand also, because Darren has been doing so well with the juice story, we got invited out to join his boss and his wife to a really amazing restaurant last night. If I remember it correctly it was called 'De Kelder' or something along those lines. Really really nommy food! :D

Jeez. Went in today to sort all my paperwork out for my pre-registration at varsity. Found myself stuck in momentum 22. Varsity wanted clearance from CSN who wouldn't send me money until I got cleared at varsity. Siiiiigh.

Anyways. After a lot of work back and forth (and support from my bf) i finally got the papers needed to go forth. Huuuuge relief. It's all gonna be alright now, I can feel it. God I hate paperworks...

A day at the beach / House

First thing first. We got the house!!! By the end of February, we'll be moving to a awesome new house! It's a bit of a drive, but we did make a test drive and it'll take me around 20-25 min to get to varsity, which isn't that bad. Not bad at all.

To celebrate we went down to the beach with Robin and Lauren. Jeez. I'm really scared of the big waves and don't really know how to handle them just yet. But all in all, I got myself a new bikini.. and a lil bit of a tan. But we'll see! I'll take it sloooowly but surely, cus otherwise I'll burn like bacon.

Back on track/ 2011

Well. It's about time I started blogging again. A lot has changed over the past few months. Plans have changed and experiences has been gained. Nevertheless I've left 2010 behinds me. I'll summarize my past year like this:

Moved to South Africa on the 7th of Jan. Registered at NMMU. Started classes in February. Gained a lot of new friends. Had lots of fun. Went to Wacky's. Started to date a guy, which went on and off for about 6 months. Lots of drama. Egh. Had enough of that by September sometime. Got robbed while asleep. Lost everything. Moved house to Summerstrand. Cut my hair short. Started Kung-Fu twice a week. Did all of my exams at varsity. Met lots of new friends. Started to date one of the instructors [mohahaha]. Went over to the UK to visit my mom for Christmas. Came back. And now I'm looking into moving in with my boyfriend and his family. Aaaah..

So all in all - it's been quite a interesting year. Anyhow, since I've got internet now a days I'll make sure to update a lot more. I also got into Graphic Design for this year [2011], something that I really didn't expect due to so-so marks and the fact that my class was frekkin amazing at everything they did and I was only doing ok. Anyhow. I got in and this year I'm gonna work my butt off to make sure I deserve my spot.

Water crisis

The water in the Eastern Cape (Port Elizabeth) is running out. Why? Well I've spoken to quite a few of my friends and they all agree on that the city planners didn't really tend to it in time, but went what was already there when they took over in 94.

Driving to varsity every morning I listen to the radio. At least 3-5 times a day I get reminded that we're running low on water and that we should save it unless we want to be left out of it later this year. That makes me feel very guilty and angry at the same time. I know I don't use overly much water. I shower very quickly, don't wash my car unless it's really needed and I don't let the tap on while washing the dishes or brushing my teeth. So who is responsible to make sure we've go enough water at the end of the day?

Is it the people? I though that this is why we pay taxes in this country? I KNOW we gotto save water but the main factor is STILL 'How are we gonna make this work and keep working under the next 50 years or so??" And not just remind us that we're running low. Solve the problem. Please. Don't blame it on the people, fix it.

Back from hiatus!

Well. I'm back. Since I've moved out of my dads house and since then I haven't had proper internet. I'm still alive and well. I've had my birthday and I'm now officially one year closer to the end. Haha.

Varsity is going quite ok, although I'm having my doubts since it turns out I wasn't as good as I first though, hehe. But I'll stick to my plan and make the best out of it and if it doesn't work out I'll just find something else to do. It's all a big adventure, so nothing is worthless if you learn something along the way. Anyways.. I'll try to update more often.. Til then - ta-ta!

Yay! I put in some effort in helping my varsity's art department out during the awards and the workshop as a waitress/host/runner during friday evening. It's all about graphic design and the contestants were AMAZING! Sooo cool! Loved it!

Music was also arranged by my friends and so I really had a great time hanging around them as well, not to speak of the free wine and food! Noms! And the Photoshop workskop!! Loved it!!

Anyways.. And all of a sudden I also happend to win the book that everybody had been signing up for in the lottery.. I WON!! I never ever ever win anything!! SO kiff!

What a weekend! Totally hectic! Went to a trance party called Wacky Woods just outside of PE with a really nice group of friends. Even though it certainly ain't my kind of music I did enjoy the party in itself and I even got to dance quite alot to be honest. The party went on until the very next day non-stop. Bonfires, poi, music, good company, really beautiful views and lots of beer just made my weekend complete!

Jeez! This week's been so incredibly stressful! Wow! But in a really good way! I haven't had too much time to update either.

We started out doing cubes, balls and cups. Meh. Now I hate cubes, balls and well.. cups!! And we're now dealing with pears... MEH.

This weekend I'm gonna head off to a mini-festival called Wacky woods.. Not really my scene musicwise but atm I couldn't care less.. Lots of nice ppl and fun.. Win!

Oh yay! Bought myself a pair of these today as well! I've never owned a proper pair so now I've got them! :D Think I'm gonna buy green ones as well.. We'll see! Anyways.. They were about 400 kr/zar cheaper than what I wouldv'e paid for them back home in Sweden, which is more than awesome!

And oh oh we passed by the zoo-shop as well and I found a mini version of Fred! :D Such a little cutie! Wanna get my pug quite soon. A friend of mine actually told me that he might just get hold of a breeder for me, which would be totally awesome!!

Sardinia bay and/or beach

Went to Sardinia bay today. Wow such a beautiful beach and not too many people around. In fact the only people we met was taking their dogs along for a nice walk. Would have taken Fred with if it hadn't been for the fact that he was at my brothers place since early this morning.

And my gosh the dunes almost took the breath out of me - literally! But when we finally got up on them it was a piece of cake to just run down on the other side of them. Aparently there's even bigger ones as well.. Phew!

The weather was so so for sunbathing but lovely to take a stroll down the beach. :)

Gig, LAN and grapes

Wow this has been quite an amazing weekend. Although very relaxing at the same time. I also went to my second gig since I got back to PE at Jesters. It's was quite alright, nothing over the top but still better than nothing. What is a metalgirl to do at the end of the world?

Whilst oday I went to a friends place and hang around. All the awesome computers in one place and I was stuck with my stepmothers laptop playing Monkey Island 5. Oh and they've got such an awesome entrence/garden as well! Grapes are actually hanging from the ceiling. Of course we had to try and taste them. Whoooh.. SOUR! Hahaha.. Anyways. Awesome weekend!

Ladies and gentlemen...! Let me introduce my new ride; The Cherry Bomb!! It's a Mazda Soho 121 '97. Yes. It ain't the most modern thing but it's just what I wanted! :D OOoooh I'm SO happy at the moment!!

Now finally I can get myself to school, friends, and well... anywhere!! So so so happy!! Even the puppies loved my new car! I will buy a ipod-radio-thingy so I'll be able to play my music as well.. Cus the last time I checked I haven't had casettes in my ownage since I was about 11. Yeah. Well!

I also went out last night to celebrate Michelle!! Awesome times! Love to go out and get to know new people! Waaah I just couldn't be happier as it is right now! :D Happy Pamster!

Safety

In this post I'm gonna be a little more serious than usual. While living in SA might seem like a far away dream for most people who comes here to visit or plans to visit, you must also be aware that it's one of the most criminal and violent countries that is not inflicted with a war in the world. Of all the charts out there covering rape, hi-jacking, violence and murder - SA is unfortunately on all of those lists.

So how can anyone even consider to live here? Well. One must adjust to the climate and take certain measurements of safety.

Here's a few of the things you must think of while staying in SA that might be the biggest difference to the way of living in Sweden;

Your house must be alarmed. Sensors for the biggest rooms, windows, front and back door, garage, everything must be covered. While staying alone at home a panic-button is the best way to always be ready if someone might attack you while being in the backyard or such. Fences and gates are essential as well. On top of the fences there are; barbed wires and/or electricity. When you're off to bed you also must make sure that a certain gate is closed and locked into where the hallway of bedrooms are. *puh* And that's just around the house.

While being out with your friends you must be sure that you're never alone with someone you don't trust. Especially as a girl. And while driving might seem quite harmless - there are a few things you must think of as well. Since car-jacking is quite usual you must be picky on where you drive, especially while it's dark. Driving past the location might be -quite- harmless during the day but after sundown it's lank dangerous. If you're not careful enough you might end up with a gun in your face, rocks being thrown through your front window, a car in front of you might stop and if you're too close you might get stuck and well.. then you're an easy target.

I know most of my swedish friends have looked upon me in horror when I've told them all of this. Many of them wonder how you're even capable to live here inside all the fences and taking all these security-measurements without feeling a bit trapped and in the end also go a bit insane and paranoid.

It's quite a few hard questions for me to anwser as I havn't lived here for too long and I'm just getting into all of these things as well. I won't lie and say it's easy - cus its not. My mind goes wandering sometimes and I forget, or sometime's I'm being a bit too naive and uncareful. Thank god/loki/whomever for my great and most awesome friends! I wouldn't know how to do this without you!

So finally; I believe that when you live in a place like this, one must surround yourself with family and friends in whom you trust. You build a safetynet on your own when you cannot trust the world behind the fences. And people in SA must live and breath as well, so there's gotto be a way to do this, I'm sure! :)

Registration

Finally! Went through with the registration this morning at the North Campus at NMMU. Wow it's a big place! I actually was there about 45 min before the start of registration so I didn't have to wait for ages before I could go through with the admin-stuff. Then I got handed lots of information [yoh! heavy!] and then I was off to try to find the hall where they hand out the studentcards! Haha.. Did I get lost? Of course!

When you try to take a shortcut, if you're me - then it will end up in a dead end and you will have to go back x amount of times. But with a little help I found my way and got my card! Yays!

So now I'm gonna try to figure out how the internet based student-thingy works and try to read through the info I've been given. Oh and my uncle and nana is leaving for Sweden today as well! It's been nice having them here, but now the holiday is over and every day life is about to start!

Is it just me or am I weird for being superexcited over starting the classes soon?? :D

I actually tried to get some sun today, believe it or not. My complection is really.. no I mean; really fair and so I'll have to do this quite carefully. I can already tell that my face has gotten some sun already but the rest of me needs to catch up.

And who am I to complain? We've got so many hours of sun each day and I'm able to take dip in the pool whenever I want. Oh and I've started to swim for about 30 min each day as well! Lovely!

You get these guys back in Sweden as well but they ain't half as fresh nor sweet as the ones you find in the shop right down the street. Oh so yummy!

Puppy guard

Look at this!! Awww! Ain't he the cutest?? And he's grown SO big since I was here in september! He's about 40 kg by now and only 10 months old so he's still a puppy in his mind. He's also trained to guard the house and does so very very well.. He warnes us if something's outside and he keeps track of us during the night when he sleeps in the hallway to all the bedrooms.

Whenever I'm in my room he keeps guard of me just outside my door, looking in. I still call him "puppy" btw.. Hehe.

Friday night @ Jesters

Oooh I went to my first gig in PE on friday night! Port Elizabeth doesn't have many "alternative"-clubs around so we hit the one that is supposedly alright. Three bands played in this competition that was going on. First band was.. well.. ok. Punk/ska/whatever. Second band was actually alright if it wasn't for the epileptic seizure-thing going on with the lazershow and all. Third band was ok as well with a touch of rock 'n roll.. but that's was basically it.

BUT I met up with lots of friend I haven't seen in a year or so at this gig! It's was sooo awesome! <3

Lazy days

Oooh went back to varsity today to put through the final stuff for the pre-registration. Everything went very smoothly and I was out of the within 15 min. Perfect.

Back at home I took some time to work on my (non-existing) tan. I even took a dip in the pool - lovely!! In the meantime the dog chilled in the shade and my uncle took the role as a poolboy! It's the first really relaxing day in a long time. I really think I will like it here. Can't wait til I get my own space though since we're a bit crammed at the moment since my uncle and nana is visiting.

Ag this is how one should spend the afternoon! :D

Pre-registration

Went to varsity to pay, fix and organize all the paperwork that'd needed to be done and signed. Everything went quite fine, turned out that I didn't have to do the Access Assassment - test either. I had already done it back in September. Yays! Wasn't that hard to be honest. Anyways.

All the papers got signed except for the last one, which I'm doing tomorrow instead. The photocopyer died as I got in front of the line and outside the mainbuilding was my ride back home waiting for me since a while back. Everything got deleyed. Yippie. I spent almost 3 hours just in line to different cachiers, receptionists and whatnot.

But at least I've only got that one thing tomorrow to attend to, then I'm off the hook until the registration on tuesday. Awesomesause!

Fredrik and a ride into the bush

Oh gosh. Wow. Had a friend over from Sweden today. Wow it was great to see his grin again! We had some coffee at the Boardwalk and then went to mission out to meet up with the families and friends he used to know here while studying for a year in PE.

So anyways.. We arranged to meet some of his former classmates at a restaurant/bar called The Island. We got directions and headed towards Summerstrand. Now... We turned right and ended up on this really lonely road going.. well.. nowhere. We passed a sign but didn't really think that was where we were suppoed to go - so we kept on going. (Oh did I mention.. it was late.. and very dark)

Got quite creepy actually, so we turned and went back. Turned out that the sign were the right place to go so we go the directions from there....

Then someone told me a story about this girl who ended up on just that road and she got raped, cut with a knife and well.. so that her guts were hanging out and all. She survived but shit!! On the way back from the bar I was so frekkin nervous my legs were shaking. Gosh. Never again down that road.

But it was funtimes to meet up with Fredrik! Will be so weird not to see his face in what could be years and years.. Who knows?

Car hunting and Safari

In africa - you need a car. If you wanna get anywhere, like say between varsity and your Castle of Doom you need a metallic steed to take you there. Well. So we've been looking at a few cars already, but I'll be sure to post a picture of my ride once we've bought it.

Oh and yeah.. Then we went for a safari. Almost like the swedish "Kolmården" but in their naturral inviroment. Wel saw alot of different bucks, a couple of rhinos, zebras and evil giraffes.. moahahha.. And oh.. We met a couple along the route who've gotten stuck in the sand.. So we got out of the car (oh nooooo! the evil giraffes might get you!!) and helped them since noone else did it. No. There were no lions, cheetas or anything with really sharp teeth out in the open reserve.. The only bigger threat would be the wilderbeast (you know the kind of fail-buffalo that ran over Mufasa in The Lion King....) but they we're very far away... Meh.

Oh and hahahha.. We went into the souvenirs shop.. And we found that it's not only the Swede's that's crazy about selling poop of different animals.. So are the South Africans.. :D Haha

Anyways.. Now breakfast! Later dudes and dudettes!

Violence and a Big Mac

Jeez. Today I saw my first proper accident in PE. A guy was lying down in the midsection between the roads facing down. Another guy was on his knees behind a car parked next to the guy on the ground and lots of people were around them all. The guy had probably been hit by a car, or shot most likely.

It looked quite bad actually... Welcome to Africa....!

Anywhoo.. After an entire day without any food due to hungover - we drove past McD. A Big Mac o/c costs 23 rand. Wow. In Sweden you'll have to cough up at least 60 kr. Checked out The Big Mac Index. Found this doodle I made just for fun at one of our first proper after work evenings at Kelly's. The good times.. Stoffe still has the original in his wallet to remind him of how totally awesome friends he has.... Or for whatever reason I don't know, but he does.

Oh gosh. Can't sleep. Too much on my mind atm. I've already freaked out twice today. One time 'cus my visa-card was misplaced and the second time 'cus I got all worried over a few things concerning the registration and well.. Bleh. Nothing I can do anything about right now, and it will probably work out just fine but when I reach the point of almost going into panic over something - it's almost impossible to stop.

Something I need to learn how to control. I've become better over the past few months but sometimes it still gets me.

One things is for sure though - I can't go back and I'm basically already on my way out of here. It's the point of no return.

Well.. I've said a few goodbye's already although I can't say it have been as difficult as I first thought. Perhaps it's because it hasn't really gripped me yet. It truly feels as if I'm going away on a vacation. It's hard to imagine that I won't be seeing all the friendly faces I've come to get used to every day.

Hell I don't even know what the first thing I'll do when arriving in PE. I'll throw myself onto the bed I'm sure, but then what? Jump into the pool? Play fetch with the dogs? Or just soak up the sun in the backyard.. No pressure, no haste. A new life - a new page in my life is yet to be written upon. I can't wait!!

Well.. First off. 2009 was a kak year. Not to sound like an ass but it truly was. I lost family, friends and others over really studpid reasons. But - I gained good things as well. New friends and new possibilities. Now, with the new year on my mind and the huge change I'm about to go through I've got the biggest shot ever in actually making a new lifestyle! So here we go;

1. I won't let poisonous people into my life.
2. I'll treat myself better, not judging myself too hard.
3. I'll attend the gym at least 3 times a week. (Will get a personal trainer ftw!)
4. I'll try to laugh a lot more, not taking anything serious that needn't be.
5. Take a few new chances.

Oh gosh. Went to this really fancy party the other night. Gothenburg Naughty Xmas Party. Pinup-girls a la old fashioned style. Of course I was dressed as such as well, and ppl where giving me compliments of me looking like Lara Croft (although I wouldn't say I did).

Anyways. Pictures will be put up soon I guess if I find any good that it. And oh. Yeah. For some reason to me unknown I had to get hurt at this party as well. First of my knee; smashed into the glasstable and went bleeding all over my destroyed stockings. Mmmm. Then I made a huge hole in my thumb as well.. How I can't remember. And oh oh, I slipped all over the place and sat on my bum at least three times that night while walking home. It's slippery as hell and high heels won't improve my chances of using my ninja-skills.

Would you look at that?? After almost two months have passed and I couldn't find Sara's missing glasses. We searched everywhere and found nothing. Then, while taking a bubblebath I honestly wouldn't believe my eyes when I saw what was hidden behind a brush under the sink. Like how??

Somehow Sara must have left the glasses somewhere around the sink and it must've been fallen behind the little glitch inbetween the sink and the wall and THEN got stuck behind the pipes and the brush. Remarklable. Anywho, Sara was a happy little squirrel when I finally returned them.

It just hit me. Just like being slammed into a huge brick wall. Whilst thinking about maybe go as far as kissing a certain someone and how I was going to do it and not look like a fool, I realized that my heart was beating really fast.

- "Really Heart? You alive??" After almost 4 months being a block of ice, not feeling anything - it started to beat again. It's nothing serious but I got nervous thinking about it. (Me?? Nervous?? Why the heck would I be nervous??)

I felt something. Nothing of importance, but I did feel it! I've finally gone through the barrier of nothingness into something that might not be as cold. Something. Thank god I'm still in there somewhere.. :D

Woke up early this morning.. [Yes. The pamster actually got up before 11 am!] Had a few final things to pack before the mover got here. Books, memories, photos, everything sorted in different boxes and shipped to the storage on the other side of town.

I'll only bring two suitcases along when moving to SA. It hasn't been the easiest task to pick out the most important things to bring along. Only 40 kg of my life from Sweden will tag along with me. This ain't a big move, just (very) far away...

I-got-it, I-got-it, I GOT IT... Y E S!!! I finally got my passport in my hands! Everything is ready now! First the scholarship and now this! Even sooner than I expected, making me worry that it hadn't been accepted.. But here it is!

WOW! Now all there is left to do is to pack everything I don't wanna bring into boxes and put them into a storage facility.. And that's it! Although I need to hug a few more friends good bye.. and Xmas.. and new years... But then I'm off! Wicked!

Once upon a time

Yay! Bought myself the awesome game "Once Upon A Time" the other week. It brings back so many memories from my teens where we would sit around in a circle and come up with the weirdest and most spectacular stories among friends.

It's a award winning storytelling card game where everything might happen. I even bought the expansion "Dark Tales" as well to add a bit of flavour to it as well. Will be bringing it to SA. Can't wait to sit among new friends, having a glass of wine and see what stories we might come up with. :D

The last couple of days has all been in a weird blur. After getting up at 7.30 the other day I slept for a few hours during my travel back by train to Gothenburg, then I fell asleep around 1 at night.. (which is early if you ask me) Didn't wake up until 17.30 (!!!) the next day feeling all groggy.

Now, hopefully - I've solved it by turning my hours back into normal. I really don't like getting up in the morning but then again I hate waking up late as well.. (late as in LATE as in after 14.30-ish)

Gonna start packing now, due to the fact that I'm putting away most of my stuff into storage while I'm gone. So now the sorting begins... And also; I've watched the final episode of Avatar.. NOW what do I do?! *cry*

Haha. So I've realized that I've got way to many card on my hand atm. Two new ones to my addition, only while visiting Stockholm for a few days. It'll be lots easier once I get down to PE not to walk around with all of these.. Although I do like my Rockbaren-card alot! :D

Otherwise my days are pretty busy right now. Got two three moves to help people with (except the fact that I'm moving on my own as well), Xmas, New years, Cousin-get-together, lots of appointments with friends to say goodbye and all the visa and csn-stuff as well to deal with.. Only 26 days to go now!! Yay!

Wowza! Went to the library as well when I had a little time over to kill after the visit to the embassy. I did make the biggest mistake by wearing high heels in this massive circular room (it echoes...... LOTS). I even had to get a library card for Stockholm area..

As for the picture below... My bedside lamp that's been hanging around since I was in my early teens have got some balls. No literally! It has two little feet with all of the toes and two legs to go with it.... So why the hanging action in between?? And the best of it, they've got no purpose since the switch is attached to the cable! They're just hangin'. Someone thought he must've been funny while creating these type of lamps.. Hehe.

My wonderful cousins showed up last weekend for my farewell party, and so we just had to take a pic to remember it by since we're not gathered too often. So this is Carin, Björn and myself in my kitchen. Both of them from my mom's side of the family.

All together I've got about 12 cousins but these one's are the closest I've got age-wise. We'll have to arrange a get-together before I leave for sure, looking at photos and homevideos from when we where little.. :)

Don't they look familiar to you?? Well to me they do! In the movie "The Rock" there's a poisonous gas called "VX" and its contained in green balls just like these. Dunno why I remember them but I guess that it has something to do with me playing around with my little brother as a child. Aaaah the good times!

Weeeii! Made fudge the other night! Sarah gave me a superawesome recipe!! Yum!!
And here it is;

Fudge

ingredients;
200g dark chocolate
200g milk chocolate
25g butter
397g (1 can) sweetened condensed milk
2 tsk vanillin sugar
2,5 dl mini marshmallows
2,5 dl peanuts (unsalted, if not just wash 'em in water)

1. Melt all the chocolate in a bowl set upon a boiling pan along with the condensed milk, vanillin sugar and the butter.
2. When everything is smooth and nice, put in the peanuts and the marshmallows. Try not to stir too much cus then it'll start to melt.
3. Pour everything into a foiled form and let it set for 4 hours in the fridge or less in a freezer.

4. NOM for godsake!! NOMNOMNOM!! ;D

Oh! It's getting quite cold! Frost on the ground and at the busstop... Brrr! But the best thing about this kind of weather would be that you're able to step on the little airpockets in the puddles which will then crack. A most enjoyable sound I might add. The last proper winter in a few years time. I'll cross my fingers and hope for snow!

Finally!! I got a letter from CSN yesterday telling me that I've been granted the scholarship!

Now I've got the financial part covered, all that's left to be confirmed now is the visa which I hope will arrive in two-three weeks time at the most.

Anyways; YAY!!!

Oh jeez. I think too much. Recently quite a few things have made me think; "why", "for what reason", "maybe it's 'cus..." and so on. Exactly these type of thoughts I promised myself I wouldn't ask myself 'cus they only haunt me, and no answers will ever be found.

Sometimes when I've got something bugging me I imagine there's a huge vacuum cleaner at the back of my head taking all the bad thoughts away. Make them disappear.

Wouldn't that be such a nice thing? I know you're supposed to learn and grow out of every situation there is but this won't get me any further and I've been down this road before.
